Capture Custom Fields & Values from Query String
Want to capture a trackingID, or hop value from your registration page? Want to ask the lead their age or another item?

To capture custom fields & values from query string, follow these steps.

Capture a value from a query string on registration.

  1. Go into your AEvent Timeline and click on Settings.

  2. Click on the Registration heading, scroll to the bottom and click “Add Custom Form Field”.

  3. In Field Name, type in the parameter you want to capture. (ie. hop or utm)

  4. Under Form Type, select query.

  5. Click Create then OK.

  6. You can now pass this field on to your autoresponder or use it elsewhere.

Add a custom field to registration form.

  1. Go into your AEvent Timeline and click on Settings.

  2. Click on the Registration heading, scroll to the bottom and click “Add Custom Form Field”.

  3. In Field Name, type in whatever you want the field to be called. (ie. age)

  4. Under Form Type, select “Custom forms”.

  5. Click Create and OK.

How to Add Custom Field or Query Value to Your Autoresponder

  1. Back in your AEvent timeline, click on the Integration heading and scroll down to the autoresponder setup (ie. Aweber setup).

  2. At the bottom, click on “Create Single Field” and enter the field name (ie. age, utm, etc.) then hit create.

  3. Find age in the list of fields and make sure the checkbox next to it is ticked.

  4. In the first dropdown, select “Custom Field” and the second dropdown select the name of the variable or query value. (ie. age, utm, etc.)

  5. Exit and save changes.
