In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create a captivating FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) image GIF using EZGIF. By following these steps, you'll be able to grab slides from a slideshow, add transitions, optimize the file size, and save it for later use. FOMO image GIFs are a great way to engage your audience and create a sense of urgency around your content.

By the end of this tutorial, you will have created an eye-catching FOMO image GIF that is optimized for file size, making it easy to share and upload to your desired platform.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Visit EZGIF.com and access the GIF Maker

  • Go to EZGIF's website (EZGIF.com) and access the GIF Maker tool. This tool allows you to create your FOMO image GIF.

Step 2: Select Slides from Slideshow

  • Choose the slides you want to include in your FOMO image GIF. To do this, click on the "Choose Files" button and select the desired slides.

  • For this tutorial, let's choose three slides. Once selected, click "Upload and make a GIF" to proceed, and you will see a screen like this.

Step 3: Adjust Delay and Transitions

Next, adjust the delay between slides and choose a transition effect for your FOMO image GIF. Increase the delay to ensure that all slides change at the same time. To do this, locate the delay adjustment box and set it to a value of 60. You can experiment with different values to achieve the desired effect. For now, let's set it to 60.

πŸ’ͺ Pro Tip: Avoid Using Effects

To keep your file size within a reasonable limit (200 kilobytes), avoid using effects. Effects can significantly increase the file size and make it difficult to optimize later on.

Step 4: Optimize the File Size

If your file size exceeds 200 kilobytes, it's time to optimize it. Click on the "Optimize" button and adjust the compression level. The tool will indicate if you're getting closer to the desired file size. Keep adjusting the compression level until you reach a size under 200 kilobytes. If that still doesn't work, you can choose "resize."

  • Our example was over 400kbs.

  • We adjusted the Compression until we got it under 200kbs.

Step 5: Save Your FOMO Image GIF

Click on the "Save" button to save your FOMO image GIF. You can choose a file name of your preference. Ensure that you save it in a location where you can easily access it later.

Step 6: Load the FOMO Image GIF

To use your GIF, load it into the Media section of your AEvent account.

  • From the Media tab, click the Upload Media in the top right of the screen.

  • Once the EZGIF is uploaded, you will find it in the Media Tab under Images.

Congratulations! You've successfully created a captivating FOMO image GIF using EZGIF. By selecting slides, adjusting delay and transitions, optimizing the file size, and saving it for later use, you now have a powerful tool to engage your audience and create a sense of urgency around your content.
