Adding your NiftyImages Account to AEvent
Adding your NiftyImages Account to AEvent
In order to add your NiftyImages Integration, you will need to first navigate to Integrations within AEvent, click Add Integration, and then search / select NiftyImages.
Then, name your integration as you see fit and click 'Add.'
Once here, open a secondary tab and navigate to your NiftyImages Account.
Click on the gear icon in the navigation menu, then select "Integration/Plugins" from the dropdown menu.
Click on "API".
If you don't have an API key already, create a new one. Otherwise, copy your existing API key.
Back within AEvent, this value needs to be copied into the NiftyImages Popup.
Upon entering your API key, your NiftyImages account has now been successfully added, you will be see it's Connected state, and you are able to click on 'Test'.
A successful connection will provide a positive test result. Congratulations, your NiftyImages account is now successfully connected to AEvent!
Now in AEvent, go to the "Media" section and select "NiftyImages".
You'll now see the images that are currently in your NiftyImages account.
When you create new images or countdown timers within NiftyImages, you can navigate to this area and click on "Refresh Images" to pull in your latest creations.

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create dynamic images using NiftyImages for use in AEvent.
Dynamic images allow you to personalize your event materials with customized messages and variables, making your event more engaging and tailored to your attendees. By following these step-by-step instructions, you'll be able to create and upload dynamic images effortlessly.
Step 1: Access NiftyImages
Login to your NiftyImages account (https://niftyimages.com/) and click on "Create Image, Timer or Data Source" (in the upper right-hand corner). Choose "Personalized Image" to begin.
Step 2: Upload an Image
Select the image you want to use for your personalized image. Remember, it should be less than 1 MB & 1200 pixels in size, but NiftyImages can resize it for you automatically.
Step 3: Customize the Image
Once you're in the image canvas, you can add text to your image. Click on "Text" under "Design Options".
Copy the desired text and paste or simply type desired text into the text field on the left hand side under "Text Block Options".
Adjust the format of the text to your preference.
Step 4: Choose a Handwriting Font (Optional)
If you want to give your text a handwritten feel, explore the available font options. You can try fonts like "Yellowtail" or others that resemble handwriting.
Step 5: Add a Merged Tag Layer
To personalize the image, go to the "Add Element" section and select the "Merged Tag Layer."
Select "Use Merge Tag" for the tag you desire, e.g., "Name."
Place it in the desired location, typically where you want the person's name to appear. The Merged Tag Layer will dynamically insert the name of the individual when used in AEvent.
Step 6: Save and Submit
Once you're satisfied with the image, click on the "Save" button. Name the image and submit it.
You don't need to worry about any other settings at this point.
Step 7: Refresh AEvent Dashboard
Return to your AEvent account and go to the "Media" section. Click on "Nifty Images" and click on "Refresh Images".
You should now see the image you created with NiftyImages available for use on your timelines.

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create dynamic countdown timers using NiftyImages for use in AEvent.
Dynamic countdown timers allow you to personalize your event materials with a countdown timer, whether it's in relation to when the event begins, OR the replay expires; AEvent and NiftyImages can help ensure the registrant is always seeing the right countdown time in relation to the event they're registrants for.
By following these step-by-step instructions, you'll be able to create and attach dynamic countdown timers to your messaging campaigns effortlessly.
Step 1: Access NiftyImages
Login to your NiftyImages account (https://niftyimages.com/) and click on "Create Image, Timer or Data Source" (in the upper right-hand corner). Choose "Personalized Image" to begin.
Step 2: Create a New Countdown Timer
Click on Countdown Timer, then select the style of timer you like.
Once you've selected a countdown timer to use (Or you've uploaded your own), you can customize that counter using several element options within the NiftyImages Interface.
After customizing your timer, click on Save.
Next, and this is super important. Notice how we didn't instruct you to set anything for the date/time? NiftyImages supports the injection of dynamic data, but you must activate it. To access the date dynamic option, you need to click on 'More Options.'
Next, select Email Merge Tag (this is automatically saved when selected).
Step 3: Refresh AEvent Dashboard
Return to your AEvent account and go to the "Media" section. Click on "Nifty Images" and click on "Refresh Images".
You should now see the image you created with NiftyImages available for use on your timelines.
And that's it! Your countdown timer is now set up inside NiftyImages and imported into AEvent. The only thing left to do is define some timeline actions to utilize our new NiftyImages setup. (check out the Article Links at the bottom of this tutorial for some help doing that!)

How to reconnect your NiftyImages Integration
If you are encountering issues with your NiftyImages integration, it is possible that the API key issued from NiftyImages has been reset or changed, OR your account is in a negative state. If you click 'Test' and it is NOT successful, the first step we recommend is reconnecting your integration.
By clicking Re-Connect, you will be prompted to re-enter your Account SID and Auth Token.
To retrieve your API key, navigate to your NiftyImages account.
Click on the gear icon in the navigation menu, then select "Integration/Plugins" from the dropdown menu.
Click on "API".
If you don't have an API key already, create a new one. Otherwise, copy your existing API key.
Then, back within AEvent, this value needs to be copied into the NiftyImages Popup.
Once you re-enter and save your new credentials, your integration will show as Connected, and you will be able to click on 'Test.'
A successful connection will yield a positive test result. Congratulations, your NiftyImages account is now successfully re-connected to AEvent!
If your test still fails, we recommend checking your NiftyImages account status to ensure it has an active billing card attached.

If you want to remove your NiftyImages integration from AEvent, you need to navigate to Integrations, locate your NiftyImages integration, and click on the trashcan icon.
You then will be prompted to confirm deletion.
(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any timelines that it is active in.)
If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not desire to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it instead. This will allow it's configuration to
continue as set within your timelines.
Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
