How to Remove Auto Chat Messages from a Campaign

Remove an Auto Chat to Audience message from your AEvent Timeline. Delete a single action in a few clicks, plus how to clear a bulk CSV import.

Added an Auto Chat to an Audience message you no longer want, or imported a batch by CSV that needs clearing?

Overview

Auto Chat to Audience messages are Timeline actions, just like a Send SMS or Send Email action. That means you remove one the same way you would any other action: open it and delete it. Removing an action only affects the message going forward, and it does not undo anything that already fired during a live event.

Before you start

  • A Zoom campaign that has one or more Auto Chat to Audience actions on its Timeline.

  • Access to edit the campaign.

Remove a single Auto Chat message

Auto Chat actions live on your campaign Timeline. Open the one you want to remove, then delete it.

Step 1: Open your campaign Timeline

In your campaign, open the Timeline. Your Auto Chat actions appear on the day and time they are set to fire.

You should see: your Timeline with its scheduled actions.

Step 2: Find the Auto Chat action

Click the day that holds the action (or + more to expand a busy day) to see the full list. Auto Chat messages are labeled Auto Chat to Audience.

Step 3: Open it and delete

Click the action to open the Edit Action panel, then click the trash icon in the top-right corner to remove it.

Remove many at once

There is no self-serve way to bulk-delete Auto Chat actions today. If you imported a large batch by CSV and need them all cleared, reach out to support with your campaign link and let us know which actions to remove, and our team can clear them for you.

Good to know

  • If you want to keep the action but change its wording or timing, open it and edit it instead of deleting.

  • Auto Chat to Audience messages only send during a live Zoom event, so removing one before your event means it simply never sends.

  • Deleting an action does not recall messages that already sent during a live event.

Still stuck?

  • You do not see a trash icon: make sure the Edit Action panel is fully open, then look at the top-right corner next to the help and duplicate icons.

  • The action comes back after a reload: confirm the delete completed and the panel closed, then refresh the Timeline.

  • You have dozens to remove: use the bulk option above and contact support rather than deleting them one by one.

If none of these help, reach out to support and we will take a look.
