New Feature: Customizing Your Support Reply Name in Zoom or AStream

Updated this week

If you're running Zoom webinars or AStream broadcasts through AEvent and want to change the "support reply name"—the name users see when they get a reply from your team, either through the Support Portal, or Slack Integration—you now have direct control over it within the platform.

For Zoom-Based Events

You can update the support name for replies via your Zoom Integration Settings:

  1. Go to your campaign.

  2. Click the cog icon next to Zoom Integration Settings.

  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings menu.

  4. You'll see an input field labeled Bot Name Name. Update it with your preferred name (e.g., “Customer Success Team” or “Team [Your Brand]”).

For AStrea

If you're running AStream events (using AEvent’s native stream viewer), follow these steps:

  1. Go to Event Info in the timeline view.

  2. Navigate to Stream Viewer.

  3. Go to the Live Chat section.

  4. Under Support Reply Name, enter the name you want participants to see when support messages are sent.

Why This Matters

Personalized and branded support touchpoints help maintain trust and continuity during your events. Whether it’s a live team or a moderated chat, setting the right name shows professionalism and consistency across every message attendees see.
