YouTube is one of AEvent’s Like-Live Delivery Platform options.
Unlike most webinar and event-based platforms, we offer multiple choices for your delivery platform, with YouTube as a simple option.
This allows you to run your events at a high frequency or align them perfectly with each lead’s time zone. Since YouTube isn’t tied to a specific scheduled event (unlike our Zoom, GoToWebinar, or Obvio integrations), you can configure your campaign to always display the options you want registrants to see—regardless of their time zone or the time of day. |

Adding YouTube Integration to AEvent
In order to add YouTube to your AEvent account, you will need to first navigate to Integrations, click Add Integration, and then search / select YouTube.
Then, name your integration as you see fit and click 'Connect.'
When you click on 'Connect,' you'll have to follow Google's prompts and give the necessary access. YouTube will now be connected, and you can start using it within your AEvent account.
A successful connection will yield a positive test result. Congratulations, YouTube is now successfully connected and ready for use in your AEvent account!
Configuring your YouTube Integration within a Campaign
In order to utilize your YouTube Integration within AEvent, you need to activate it within the campaign you are working with. To do this, open the campaign you are working with.
Then select Integrations and set your YouTube Integration as Active. After verifying YouTube as your delivery platform, you may now edit the rest of the campaign.
Creating a Timeline Action to send an Automatic Chat MSG to Attendees
Want to set up a timeline action to automatically send a chat message to the live attendees at any point during your YouTube Event?
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. You MUST select After, and then define hours and minutes that fall within your Video time span (this action will not be selectable if you've defined an action time that falls outside of the actual Event).
Select YouTube as the integration type and Auto Chat to Audience as the action.
In our example, we've used the "from" name to be Support, and a simple 'Hello there' message.
Once you've created your message, just click on Create.
Your Auto Chat Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline.
BONUS: Simulate Live Questions and Answers through the use of our Auto Chat tool. Use the 'Replying to' field so not only does the Attendee see the Question being sent from another 'Attendee,' but they also see the reply from Support.

Creating a Timeline Action to display a CTA Popup to your YouTube Event
By creating a CTA Popup action, you can display a Call to Action Popup to your live viewer at any time during your Event.
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. You MUST select After, and then define hours and minutes that fall within your Video time span (this action will not be selectable if you've defined an action time that falls outside of the actual Event).
After clicking on Create, your action will be created and viewable on your timeline.
In the example above, we've selected Hide Popup -> Disabled. By doing this, you can show the CTA up to a certain point in the video.
If you want to show the pop up until the end of the video, simply Enable Hide Popup:

How to remove YouTube from AEvent
If you want to remove YouTube from your AEvent account, you need to navigate to Integrations, locate your YouTube integration, and click on the trashcan icon.
You will then be prompted to confirm deletion.
(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any campaigns that it is active in.)
Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
