Adding your AiSensy Account to AEvent
To add your AiSensy Integration, you will need three things from AiSensy: Partner API Key, Project ID, and API Key. All three are required. The Partner API Key is not optional and is not limited to AiSensy "Partner" or reseller accounts — every AiSensy account must provide it, or the connection will fail.
To get your Partner API Key, please contact AiSensy support and ask for it. This key is tied to your AiSensy project (not to a special "Partner" plan), so any AiSensy account can request it.
To get your Project ID, please go to your AiSensy Project and copy the string from the URL:
https://www.app.aisensy.com/projects/xxxxxx/dashboard
Whatever's in place of the x's, that's your Project ID. DO NOT paste the whole URL. You only need your Project ID.
To get your API Key, you can go to Manage > API Key.
Once those three things are ready, navigate to Integrations within AEvent, click Add Integration, and then search / select AiSensy.
Then, name your integration as you see fit and click 'Add.'
Paste the three details you prepared on their respective boxes and click Continue:
Once your AiSensy account has been successfully added, you will see its Connected state, and you will be able to click on 'Test'.
A successful connection will yield a positive test result. Congratulations, your AiSensy account is now successfully connected to AEvent!
Activating your AiSensy Integration within a Campaign and setting up an on-registration message
To use your AiSensy Integration within AEvent, once you add it, you need to activate it within the campaign you are working with. To do this, open the campaign you are working on.
Then select Integrations and set your AISensy Integration as Active.
If you want to set an on-registration message, click on the Cogwheel. Then select 'Send on Registration,' pick a campaign, and define your message.
Click Update Settings when you're done.
Tip: In order to maximize the use of the integration, your first message should include a call to action that urges your readers to reply. AiSensy detects which users are engaging. This ensures all your future actions (see below) will work.
Creating a Timeline Action to Send a Message
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your AiSensy integration and Send Message. You can then select an AiSensy campaign and define your params.
Once you've defined the message you want to send, just click on Create.
Your AiSensy Send Message Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 1 minute after to the event starts, an action will occur that will send a message to all registrants registered for the scheduled event.
How to map your params (Param 1, Param 2, and so on)
The {{1}}, {{2}}, {{3}} and similar variables in the Template SMS box are AiSensy's own template variables. You do not retype them in AEvent. Instead, AEvent gives you one Param box for every variable in your template, and the mapping is by position: whatever you put in Param 1 fills {{1}}, Param 2 fills {{2}}, and so on. AEvent reads how many variables your chosen AiSensy template has and shows exactly that many Param boxes, in order. The greyed Template SMS box underneath is a read-only preview so you can see which number is which.
Into each Param box you put the value that should replace that variable. Type plain text for something fixed, or use an AEvent personalization token so the value is filled in for each registrant when the message sends. For example, {{!subscriber-firstName!}} inserts the registrant's first name and {{!subscriber-joinURL!}} inserts their join link.
Here is how you would map the example template shown above:
Box | Fills | What to put in the box |
Param 1 | {{1}} (Dear ...) | {{!subscriber-firstName!}} |
Param 2 | {{2}} (Registration for ...) | {{!webinar-webinarTitle!}} |
Param 3 | {{3}} (Workshop Link) | {{!subscriber-joinURL!}} |
Param 4 | {{4}} (Date) | {{!webinar-month!}} {{!webinar-day!}}, {{!webinar-year!}} |
Param 5 | {{5}} (Time) | {{!webinar-usertime!}} |
Tip: The Param box is a plain text field, so type the personalization token exactly as shown, including the exclamation points. To avoid sending an empty variable (WhatsApp rejects a blank value), add a fallback with a pipe. For example, {{!subscriber-firstName!|there!}} sends "there" when a registrant has no first name.
How to reconnect your Twilio Integration
If you are encountering issues with your AiSensy integration, it is possible that the API key issued from AiSensy has been reset or changed. If you click 'Test' and it is NOT successful, the first step we recommend is reconnecting your integration.
By clicking Re-Connect, you will be prompted to re-enter your details again. Contact AiSensy or a new Partner API Key if needed.
Paste the three details you prepared on their respective boxes and click Continue:
Once your AiSensy account has been successfully added, you will see its Connected state, and you will be able to click on 'Test'.
A successful connection will yield a positive test result. Congratulations, your AiSensy account is now successfully reconnected to AEvent!

How to remove your AiSensy Integration from AEvent
If you want to remove your AiSensy integration from AEvent, you need to navigate to Integrations, locate your AiSensy integration, and click on the trashcan icon.
You then will be prompted to confirm deletion.
(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any campaigns that it is active in.)
If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not desire to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it instead. This will allow its configuration to continue as set within your campaigns.
Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
