In this tutorial, you'll learn how to seamlessly connect Pabbly with AEvent. Whether you're looking to streamline event follow-ups, trigger email sequences, or sync your leads with other marketing tools, this integration gives you the flexibility to do so efficiently.
What Can You Do with the Pabbly Integration?
|
Timeline Actions:
|
Adding your Pabbly Account to AEvent
To add your Pabbly Integration, you will first need to navigate to Integrations within AEvent, click Add Integration, and then search/select Pabbly.
βThen, name your integration as you see fit and click 'Add.'
A pop-up will appear, providing a special link to Pabbly and a unique Key.
β
Copy your unique key from the AEvent popup, then click the link to Pabbly to log in. (You may need to click Pabbly Connect once you're logged in.) and click Continue on AEvent's pop-up.
Once you're logged in, click on Create Workflow:
Simply name your workflow and click 'Create'.
Choose AEvent as the trigger app.
Select New Event Registration as the Trigger Event and click Connect.
Add a new connection, name it, enter your API Key, and click Save:
Now, you can go back to AEvent, then integrations, and test Pabbly. You should now see a success confirmation:
Creating and Configuring a Pabbly Workflow to work with an AEvent Timeline
To utilize your Pabbly Integration within AEvent, you must configure the Workflow you created above.
Go back to your workflow, and you should see something like this:
Click Save & Send Test Request, and you'll see a spinning circle that says "Waiting for Response":
Now, you must use Pabbly in a timeline and send a test registration. This will enable Pabbly to capture the response.
Simply enable Pabbly under Timeline, Integrations (Under Timeline Settings), select the webhook that you created, then click Update settings:
After activating the integration inside the timeline, you must send a test registration. Pabbly will then record the responses received:
You can now choose an action. Pabbly will do this certain action when someone registers for your event.
For the sake of the tutorial, I'll choose AWeber. Let's say I want Pabbly to add my registrants to my AWeber list:
After connecting my AWeber account, I can select a list, and map the fields:
These fields became available when we sent a test registration, and Pabbly got the response.
I can now click Save & Send Test Request (on AWeber's action) once I'm happy with the fields I've mapped.
Once you're done, enable the Pabbly Workflow:
We're done setting up Pabbly and have already turned on the integration inside AEvent's timeline settings.
At this point, my registrants will automatically be added to my AWeber list through the Pabbly workflow.
Creating a Timeline Action to Initiate a Pabbly Workflow
Setting up a timeline action to initiate a Pabbly Workflow is similar to the steps in the tutorial above. First, we need to create a new Workflow within Pabbly and then create a new AEvent Trigger.
β
Click on +Create Workflow, then under Trigger, Search for and select AEvent.
This time, select "Existing Connection" and select the connection you created when you added Pabbly as an integration. Click Save.
Name your new Webhook and click Save & Send Test Request:
Once you see the "Waiting For Response" message, change your webhook on registration to the new webhook that you just created. (We'll change this later; we just need to trigger the responses.)
Once you updated the timeline settings, send a test registration again.
Now I've sent/triggered the response...
I'll just change my webhook on registration back to my original one.
Now I'll add an action I want for this webhook/workflow.
For example, 10 minutes before the event, I want Pabbly to tag my registrants.
For example, I might use this tag to trigger an Aweber campaign.
So this is how I might set the action:
Now, back on AEvent, I'll add an action 10 minutes before the event, and select my new webhook/workflow that's designed for this action:
At this point, if the Pabbly Workflow is turned on, it should work already.
I sent a test registration and waited until 10 minutes before the event. And here's the tag that Pabbly added:
How to reconnect your Pabbly Integration
If you are encountering issues with your Pabbly integration, it is possible that the API key issued from Pabbly has been reset or changed. If you click 'Test' and it is NOT successful, the first step we recommend is reconnecting your integration.
How to remove your Pabbly Integration from AEvent
If you want to remove your Pabbly integration from AEvent, navigate to Integrations, locate your Pabbly integration, and click on the trashcan icon.
You will then be prompted to confirm deletion.
(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any timelines that it is active in.)
If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not want to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it. This will allow it's configuration to
continue as set within your timelines.
Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
π Troubleshooting: π
If you have any problems with your integration, the first thing to do is press the "Test" button on the Integration.
This will confirm if the connection to Pabbly is valid. If you continue to have problems,
you can try reconnecting the integration or reach out to our Support Team!
