Getting Started with Campaigns

Overview of Campaign Structure and Navigation

Updated this week

This guide provides a clear walkthrough of the core components of an AEvent campaign. Before building your first campaign, it’s essential to understand how campaigns are structured and where each key setting lives.

What Is a Campaign?

In AEvent, everything starts with a Campaign.
Think of a campaign as your event’s central container—it houses your:

  • Automation timeline

  • Media settings

  • Registration logic

  • Landing pages and delivery configurations

A single campaign transforms an event into a complete funnel.

Campaign Overview: Core Sections

When you open a campaign, you’ll see several structured sections. Here’s a breakdown of each:

Timeline

The Timeline section is where you define what happens and when.

  • Add actions such as:

    • Emails

    • SMS

    • Ringless voicemails

    • Tag applications

    • Delays

    • And more

Event Info

The Event Info section defines your media and branding.

  • Choose your presentation type (Live, Automated, etc.)

  • Upload or select your media

  • Customize the waiting room and event branding

Toggle Waiting Room ON to access full customization options.

Integrations

This section manages your connected applications.

  • Select which integrations are active

  • Click the gear icon next to any integration to:

    • Enable On Registration behavior

    • Add actions like tagging registrants during signup

Registration

Design your registration form here.

  • Create a new form or edit an existing one

  • Add fields like:

    • Custom input fields

    • Dropdowns

    • Tokens

  • Configure form display and behavior

Code

Access all embed and tracking scripts required for your landing pages

  • Registration embed code

  • Header scripts

  • Countdown timers

  • Dynamic page elements

Includes separate code sets for your:

  • Registration page

  • Confirmation page

  • Replay page

You can also enable Page Tracking and Script Tracking here.

Advanced

Control post-registration behavior and replay logic.

  • Set your Confirmation (Thank You) Page URL

  • Configure Replay Window settings

  • Add an Expired Page

  • Define UTM behavior for advanced tracking

Audience

Create segmented audiences based on user behavior.

Default segments include:

  • Registrants

  • Attendees

  • Non-Attendees

You can also build custom audiences by conditions such as:

  • Attended vs. No Show

  • Minutes watched

  • Page visited (clicked or non-clicked)

These segments allow for personalized follow-up or behavior-based automation triggers.

Analytics

Analytics live outside your campaign, on your Main Dashboard.

Navigate to Analytics to access real-time and historical data across all campaigns:

  • Attendance

  • Watch time

  • Device types

  • Conversion rates
