In this tutorial, you'll learn how to set up and use AStream automatic registration for an On-Demand Replay Service. By following these steps, you can ensure that anyone who clicks on an old link or message will be automatically registered for your AStream on-demand replay, providing a seamless user experience.
By the end of this tutorial, you'll have successfully set up automatic registration for AStream, enabling users to be automatically registered for the on-demand replay service instead of being directed to a replay page.
Step 1: Access the Original Timeline
Open your original timeline (the one users are currently signing up for).
Copy the WTL (Webinar Timeline) value from the browser's address bar of the timeline you are working with, and copy and save that code as well.
Step 2: Access the AStream On-Demand Timeline
Open (or create a new) AStream Evergreen / On Demand timeline.
Once you've created your new timeline, find the WTL value from the browser's address bar, then copy and save that code.
Step 3: Update the WTL Values
π URL Template π
Using Notepad, Word, etc, update the URL template above β¬οΈ by replacing the XXXX values with those you saved from the original and the On-Demand timelines.
In Addition, our messenger bot sent you your Tenant ID when you visited this tutorial, please use that value in place of XXXX with tenant=XXXX.
For this example, the tenant ID is queen, original WTL is Rl9wf45Pi1xAX4H, On-Demand WTL is CNjv5GU0KCGScMA:
Step 4: Update the Replay Page Link
Open the original timeline.
Go to the "Advanced" setting from the left menu.
If disabled, enable "Replay Sequence" by toggling the switch.
The "Replay Sequence" window will open up.
Enter the updated URL in the "Replay Page" field.
Set the Days, Hours, and Minutes for the length in which you would like to make the replay available.
Check/Tick the "Expire at Midnight" box if desired.
Click "Update".

Step 5: Scheduling the On-Demand Timeline
Once you've created the link between your Original Timeline and On-Demand Timeline, you need to schedule your AStream timeline to run Evergreen every 1 minute.
If you need a refresher on scheduling this way, please review the short how-to linked below.
Once scheduled, Congratulations! You've successfully set up automatic registration for AStream's on-demand replay service.
Instead of directing users to a replay page when they click on an old link or message, they will now be automatically registered for the AStream On-Demand Service.
To test this, we recommend registering for your main event, once the event has occurred, accessing any link used, which will now lead directly into the AStream timeline and event!
