In this tutorial, you'll learn how to ensure that AEvent has the correct security permissions to automate your GoToWebinar. By granting permission to trusted devices, you'll enable AEvent to automate the process of running webinars on your behalf. This will save you time and effort, ensuring a seamless experience with GoToWebinar.

By the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to review and authorize devices accessing your GoToWebinar account. This will enable AEvent to automate the webinar management process without any interruptions.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Accessing the GoToWebinar Dashboard

  • Log in to your GoToWebinar account using your credentials.

  • Once logged in, you'll be directed to the GoToWebinar dashboard.

Step 2: Navigating to Account Settings

  • On the GoToWebinar dashboard, locate and click on the "Profile" icon on the upper right-hand side.

  • From the dropdown menu, select "My Account".

Step 3: Accessing Sign In and Security Settings

  • Once the My Account page loads, find and click on "Sign In & Security."

  • This will take you to the security settings of your GoToWebinar account.

Step 4: Reviewing Device Logins

  • Within the Sign In & Security settings, locate and click on the "Review All Devices" option.

  • Here, you'll find a list of devices that have logged into your GoToWebinar account.

Step 5: Identifying "Texas" Logins

  • In the list of devices, you may see logins from different Locations in Texas.

  • It's crucial to identify these logins as they correspond to the servers in our data center used by AEvent in Austin, TX.

  • GoToWebinar doesn't always recognize our IPs as being in Austin. We've seen this change over the years, so our recommendation is Texas devices in general.

Step 6: Trusting Texas Devices

  • For each login entry from the location in Texas, click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to it.

  • From the options that appear, select "I trust this device."

  • Click "Continue" to proceed.

Step 7: Understanding Device Trust

  • If you see multiple logins from different entries in Texas, repeat Step 6 for each entry.

  • It's important to trust all these devices to ensure the smooth functioning of AEvent's automation.

  • By trusting these devices, you authorize AEvent's servers in our data center to access your GoToWebinar account securely.

  • This is essential for AEvent to fully automate the management of GoToWebinar and Zoom.
