In this tutorial, you will learn how to create, link, and schedule an encore timeline using AEvent. By setting up an encore timeline, you can automatically register non-attendees from your main event to the following event, ensuring they don't miss out on important information. This tutorial will help you streamline your event planning and provide a seamless experience for your attendees.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Adding the Encore Action to the Main Timeline

  • Open your timeline settings and click on "Create Action."

  • Choose the time frame for the encore action. In this example. we're selecting one day after the main event at 8:00 am.

  • Select the audience for the encore action (in this case, choose "Non-attendees" to automatically register them for the encore event).

  • Select "AEvent Functions" then "Encore Timeline."

  • Select the timeline you want to encore.

  • Click "Create" to finalize the encore action.

  • You'll now see the encore action added to the timeline.

Step 2: Reviewing and Editing Non-Attendee Actions

Make sure the encore actions are set to occur only for attendees and not non-attendees


  • Adjust any messaging or content to cater specifically to attendees, ensuring they don't receive duplicate information from the encore timeline.

Step 3: Saving Changes and Exploring the Encore Timeline

  • Click "Update Action" to save the changes you made to timeline actions.

  • Take a quick look at the encore timeline you have linked and explore the actions within the encore timeline, such as sending registration confirmation and additional event details to non-attendees.

Step 4: Scheduling the Main Event and Encore Event

  • Create a New Event by clicking on "Schedule An Event" from the Dashboard.

  • The "Schedule Webinar" window will open

  • From the dropdown, select your Timeline for the "Event Timeline."

  • Set Schedule Parameters:

  1. Select if the event Type is "One Time" or "Recurring."

  2. Set if you'll be using the "Account" or "Registrant" TimeZone.

  3. Set the "Start Date" and "Start Time" for both the Main Event and Encore.

  4. If recurring, set the "Repeat Mode" accordingly.

  5. Select when to "Expire" your event.

  • Click on "Schedule Event" to finalize scheduling your Encore timeline.

  • You will now see your Main Event and Encore Event scheduled.
