In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create an effective email sequence for your pre-webinar and post-webinar communications. By setting up an autoresponder service like AWeber or similar, you can automate the process of sending timely and relevant emails to your webinar registrants. This tutorial will help you engage with your audience, remind them about the webinar, and follow up with valuable content after the event.
By the end of this tutorial, you'll have a clear understanding of how to set up an email sequence using an autoresponder service. You'll be able to create and schedule emails to be sent before and after your webinar, ensuring effective communication with your audience.
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Set up your Autoresponder Service
Open your Timeline.
Go to "Integrations" and make sure your autoresponder integration is set up
Once done, exit out back to your main Timeline view.
β
Step 2: Pre-Webinar Emails
Identify key points in your timeline:
Click on "Create Action."
Determine the timing of your pre-webinar emails. For example, three days before, two days before, and one day before the webinar by clicking on the left or right arrow.
β
Add tags:
On the Timeline, at the specified time intervals, add tags to trigger the email sequences.
For instance, two days before, at 9 a.m., add the tag "aevent-2daysbefore".
Step 3: Set up Email Campaigns
Create a campaign/workflow/automation in your autoresponder service:
Utilize the campaign/workflow/automation feature in your autoresponder service to set up a reaction triggered by the added tag.
Initiate singular emails:
π‘ Note:
Ensure that your pre-webinar series consists of singular emails rather than a multi-day automation !! This way, each email is sent individually, and the registrant will receive the right emails according to the day they registered.
Step 4: Post-Webinar Emails
Create an action on the Timeline, just as you would for the pre-webinar emails, including the appropriate tags.
Determine the timing for post-webinar emails, such as 9.00 am the day after the webinar.
β
Create automation sequences:
Build out longer & ongoing automations for the post-webinar emails. These should include tags like "Attendee", "Non-Attendee", "Cart-Abandoner", etc.
Just like the pre-webinar emails, the automations are created in your autoresponder and triggered by Aevent.
β
Set up a follow-up campaign:
For the post-webinar automations, in your auto-responder, set up a campaign/workflow/automation that spans the desired length (e.g., three, four days / ongoing) with appropriate pauses and time intervals between emails.
Include all registered attendees: make sure your post-webinar campaign/workflow includes emails sent to everyone who registered for the webinar.
Send follow-up emails: Use the post-webinar campaign/workflow/automation to engage with attendees, non-attendees, cart-abandoners, and any other audience you wish to target, providing valuable content and reinforcing the webinar experience.
Step 5: Customize and Expand (Optional)
If desired, you can customize your email sequences further by defining custom audiences and using them for both pre-webinar and post-webinar emails. This allows for more targeted communication.
βοΈ Remember:
Aevent triggers the emails & ongoing sequences/workflows/automations in your autoresponder, with the tags created and/or the "add to workflow/automation" actions. The actual emails and automations are to be created inside your autoresponder and ready to be triggered with the corresponding tag.
In this tutorial, you learned how to create an email sequence for your webinar using an autoresponder service like AWeber. By adding tags at specific intervals, you triggered singular pre-webinar emails to be sent to your registrants. After the webinar, you set up a post-webinar campaign with longer sequences for your audiences, such as attendees, non-attendees, and cart abandoners.
This ensures effective & relevant communication throughout the entire webinar process.
Remember, the key is to provide valuable content, engage with your audience, and follow up in a timely manner. With this email sequence in place, you can effectively communicate with your webinar attendees, reinforce the webinar experience, and nurture your audience for future engagements.
