You can send messages to your leads not just at the time of registration but at any point along your timeline, allowing you to target the right audience with the right message at the right time.

Adding your Simple Texting Account to AEvent
In order to add your Simple Texting Integration, you will need to first navigate to Integrations within AEvent, click Add Integration, and then search / select Simple Texting.
Then, name your integration as you see fit, and click 'Add.'
Once you click connect, a separate window will pop up, asking for your API key, open a secondary tab and navigate to your Simple Texting Account.
Go to integrations, and click API & Webhooks:
You'll see your API Token here, copy it and paste it on the AEvent pop-up:
Upon entering your API Key successfully, you will see its Connected state, and you will be able to click on 'Test'.
A successful connection will yield a positive test result. Congratulations, your Simple Texting account is now successfully connected to AEvent!
Activating your Simple Texting Integration within a Timeline and setting up an on-registration SMS
After adding your Simple Texting integration, you need to activate it within the timeline you are working with. To do this, open the timeline you are working on.
Select Integrations and set your Simple Texting Integration as Active:
If you want to set on-registration actions, click on the Cogwheel.
Here, you can add them to a list once they register, and/or send an SMS/MMS.
You can customize it with both the personalization menu and the emoji menu.
Once you're done, click on Update Settings.
Creating a Timeline Action to Send a Simple Texting SMS
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your Simple Texting integration and Send an SMS. You can utilize the Personalization Menu as well as the Emoji Menu to customize the message while keeping everything dynamic.
Once you've written the SMS message you want to send, just click on Create.
Your Simple Texting Send SMS Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 5 minutes prior to the event starting, an action will occur that will send an SMS to all registrants registered for the scheduled event.
Creating a Timeline Action to Send a Simple Texting MMS
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your Simple Texting integration and Send an MMS. You can select media, and utilize the Personalization Menu as well as the Emoji Menu to customize the message while keeping everything dynamic.
Once you've configured the MMS message you want to send, just click on Create.
Your Simple Texting Send MMS Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 1 hour prior to the event starting, an action will occur that will send an MMS to all registrants registered for the scheduled event.
"Add to List" Simple Texting Timeline Action
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your Simple Texting integration and Add to list. Here you can select the list you want to add your audience to:
Once you're done, simply click Create.
Your Simple Texting Add to List Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 2 hours before the event, registrants will be added to the specified list.
"Remove from List" Simple Texting Timeline Action
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your Simple Texting integration and Remove from List. Here you can select the list you want to remove your audience from:
Once you're done, simply click Create.
Your Simple Texting Remove from List Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 2 hours before the event, registrants will be removed from the specified list.
"Remove Contact" Simple Texting Timeline Action
Within the timeline builder, start by creating an action and selecting the date and time that you wish the action to occur. Select the audience you are targeting, then select your Simple Texting integration and Remove Contact.
Once you're done, simply click Create.
Your Simple Texting Remove Contact Action has now been created, and you can view it on your timeline. Per the example above, 2 hours before the event, registrants will be removed from Simple Texting.
How to reconnect your Simple Texting Integration
If you are encountering issues with your Simple Texting integration, please test the integration. If you click 'Test' and it is NOT successful, the first step we recommend is reconnecting your integration.
By clicking Re-Connect, you'll have to name the integration again, then a separate window will pop up, asking for your API key, open a secondary tab, and navigate to your Simple Texting Account.
Go to integrations, and click API & Webhooks:
You'll see your API Token here, copy it and paste it on the AEvent pop-up:

How to remove your Simple Texting Integration from AEvent
If you want to remove your Simple Texting integration from AEvent, you need to navigate to Integrations, locate your Twilio integration, and click on the trashcan icon.
You then will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any timelines that it is active in.)
If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not desire to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it instead. This will allow it's configuration to
continue as set within your timelines.
Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
