AEvent’s native integration with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) enables fully automated email communications for your event campaigns — from confirmation emails on registration, to reminders and follow-ups, all the way through behavior-based timeline actions like adding or removing contacts from lists.
Brevo also now supports custom field mapping, giving you the power to send rich, dynamic data with each contact — perfect for personalization, segmentation, and downstream automations in Brevo.
Whether you're using AEvent for live, evergreen, or hybrid events, Brevo gives you full control over how, when, and to whom your emails are delivered.

Adding Your Brevo Account to AEvent
To add your Brevo integration to AEvent:
In AEvent, navigate to Integrations.
Click Add Integration, then search/select Brevo.
Name your integration as you see fit, and click Add.
In a separate tab, log in to your Brevo account.
Navigate to SMTP & API under your account settings: https://app.brevo.com/settings/keys/api
Under the API Keys section, copy your API Key. If none exist, click Create a New API Key, name it, then Generate. ⚠️ Note: You will only see this key once — make sure to copy and save it securely.
Return to AEvent, paste your API Key, and click Continue.
Once connected, you’ll see a Connected status and have the option to click Test. A successful connection will yield a positive test result.
✅ Congratulations! Your Brevo account is now successfully connected to AEvent.
IP Whitelisting for Security (Required)
To ensure reliable connection and API access, please whitelist the following AEvent IPs in your Brevo account settings:

Configuring Brevo for On-Registration Emails
To send an automated email immediately when someone registers for your event:
Navigate to the Campaign you're working in.
Go to the Integrations tab and set Brevo to Active.
Click the cogwheel next to Brevo to access On-Registration settings.
Choose a 'Send on Registration' Email
(Optional) For Custom Emails Tick Collect Engagement Metrics to track opens.
💾 Save your message, and AEvent will automatically send it on every new registration.
Using AEvent Custom Fields with Brevo
When a registrant signs up, you can send more than just their name and email. AEvent supports custom field mapping, allowing you to pass dynamic values like:

Tags or funnel identifiers
To map fields:
In your campaign, go to the Brevo Integration Settings.
Click Show Custom Fields (Personalization).
Use Create System Fields to auto-create standard AEvent fields in Brevo.
You may also manually map to pre-existing Brevo fields or create new ones.
Click Refresh if a new field was added in Brevo to see it in AEvent.
Mapped custom fields are sent to Brevo on registration, giving you full personalization options inside Brevo templates or automations.
Creating Timeline Actions with Brevo
You can use Brevo to trigger powerful automation sequences directly from your AEvent Timeline Builder.
Available actions:
Send Email
Send Template
Add Contact to List
Remove Contact from List
Delete Contact
To create a timeline action:
Go to the Timeline tab in your campaign.
Select the day and time for your action.
Click Create Action.
Choose the audience you wish to target.
Select your Brevo Integration.
Choose one of the available actions.
Customize the message (if applicable).
(Optional) Enable Collect Engagement Metrics.
Click Create to finalize.
🎯 These actions can be sequenced for pre-event reminders, post-event nurturing, re-engagement of no-shows, and more.
Viewing Engagement Metrics
Brevo supports engagement tracking — you’ll be able to see who received, opened, and interacted with your emails.
To enable and view metrics:
Enable Metrics Collection
For On-Registration Emails:
Go to the Integration Settings → check Collect Engagement Metrics.For Timeline Actions:
Enable Collect Engagement Metrics within the action builder.
Viewing Your Metrics
After your event, go to Schedule > Past.
Select your event and click the pie chart icon.
Scroll to User Agent View.
Toggle Display Email Engagement Metrics.
📊 You’ll now see total emails sent vs opened.
Reconnecting Brevo
If you experience errors (e.g. failed test), your Brevo API Key may have changed or expired.
To reconnect:
Go to Integrations.
Locate Brevo and click Re-Connect.
Enter a fresh API Key from Brevo.
Click Continue, then Test the connection.
A successful test confirms your account is now reconnected and functional.
Removing Brevo
To remove your Brevo integration:
Navigate to Integrations.
Locate Brevo and click the trash can icon.
Confirm deletion.
⚠️ NOTE: ⚠️
Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any campaigns that it is active in.
If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not desire to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it instead.
This will allow its configuration to continue as set within your campaigns.
