Creating Your First Campaign

Create your first AEvent campaign step by step: pick an event type, choose a timeline template, set a delivery platform, add details, and enable integrations.

This guide walks you through creating your first campaign in AEvent—your event's central container that powers the timeline, delivery method, automation logic, and integrated tools.

What Is a Campaign?

A campaign is the foundation of your event inside AEvent. It manages:

  • Event timeline

  • Delivery platform (e.g., Zoom, GoToWebinar, AStream)

  • Automation sequences

  • Integrations (CRM, Email, SMS, etc.)

Step-by-Step: Create Your First Campaign

1. Select Your Event Type

When starting a new campaign, you'll first choose your event type:

  • Live Webinar – Manual events hosted in real time

  • Evergreen Webinar – Automated or like-live events

  • Hybrid Webinar – Semi-automated events with a blend of live elements

Example: Select Evergreen Webinar and click Next

2. Choose a Timeline Template

Templates are pre-built event flows with scheduled automation slots.

  • Choose a template that best fits your campaign goals

  • You can fully edit and customize your timeline later

Example: Select “Evergreen Webinar” template and click Next

3. Select Your Delivery Platform

Choose the streaming platform you’ll use to deliver the event:

  • Zoom

  • GoToWebinar

  • AStream (AEvent’s native system)

Example: Select AStream and click Next

4. Define Event Details

Enter campaign-specific information:

  • Event Title (e.g., “Q3 Launch Zoom” or “July 5-Day Challenge”)

  • Internal Description (optional, for team reference)

  • Language (defaults to English)

If using AStream, upload your video file now or skip for later. Click Next

5. Enable Campaign-Specific Integrations

Toggle ON the integrations you want active for this campaign:

  • ActiveCampaign

  • Twilio

  • SlyBroadcast

...or any others previously connected

Click Next

6. Configure Integration Behavior

For each enabled integration, you can define behavior (optional at this step):

  • Example: Enable On Registration triggers in ActiveCampaign

  • Update integration-specific settings as needed

Click Create My Campaign

7. Review Campaign Summary

You’ll see a summary of:

  • Event Type

  • Selected Template

  • Campaign & Event Details

  • Delivery Platform

  • Enabled Integrations

Click Create Campaign to finalize setup.

✅ Campaign Created

Once your campaign is created:

  • AEvent generates your timeline and structure based on the selected template

  • You’ll be redirected to the Timeline section

  • All actions are fully editable—adjust or add to fit your event logic

What’s Next?

In the next tutorial, we’ll explore the Timeline in depth—how it works, how to map out your automation, and how to add and schedule specific actions. This is where your event logic comes to life.
