Your registrants can now receive push notifications. This allows you to remind them about a session, get them registered for an encore session, or send them directly to your CTA page!

Utilize our Business Glu integration to communicate with your audience promptly and effectively!

Timeline Actions:

Adding Your BusinessGlu to AEvent

In order to add your BusinessGlu account to AEvent, navigate to Integrations, click Add Integration, and search/select Business Glu.

Name your integration (for your reference only) and click Add:

A pop-up will appear, asking for your Team ID.

To get this information, navigate to your BusinessGlu account and access Team Dashboard.

From the left-hand side menu, click on 'Api'.

Click on 'Invite Users'.

Click on 'Invite with Custom'.

Copy the link you see on the screen and paste it to either notepad or Word:

The string of characters after ‘/team/’ and before ‘/users’ is your Team ID. E.g. if the link is: https://businessglu.com/api/json/v1.0/team/XXXXXXXX/users then XXXXXXXX is the Team ID. Extract the team ID from the link, paste it on the Aevent pop up, and click continue.

Done successfully, you’ll see a confirmation pop-up:

You can go ahead and go back to your integrations and click Test:

And if everything’s set up correctly, you’ll see a success confirmation pop up:

Using The BusinessGlu Integration On Your Timeline

Go to the timeline that you intend to use BusinessGlu on.

Go to the Integrations section of that particular timeline and turn on your Business Glu integration by toggling the switch:

Now that you've enabled BusinessGlu for your timeline, your registrants will receive an email inviting them to download the BusinessGlu app.

To edit that email, go to: Team Dashboard > Email Templates > Invite User.

You can edit and personalize the email message your registrants will be receiving. You can indicate the Name of the sender, where they can reply to, the email's Subject, the email's Greeting message and the content of your email message.

You can also personalize the Call to Action button and what you want to say after that CTA button. For Salutation, you can add your signature to the email. Lastly, don't forget to update your template by clicking on 'Update Template'.

To the right of the template, you'll see a preview of how your email will look like.

Assuming that they’ll go ahead and download the app, you can now send notifications through the BusinessGlu app. And you can do that with timeline actions.

Pushing Notification Through BusinessGlu using Timeline Actions

Go to your timeline, and add an action.

In this example, we’re adding a notification 30 minutes before the event.

The intention of this notification is to remind them that the event is about to start, and that they should get ready to join.

And here’s the action configuration:

You can select an image or a video that will be relevant to your notification. Then add a button that takes them to the appropriate ‘next step’, in this case, a join link.

After creating an action, I can now see that it’s ready to go in my timeline:

How to reconnect your BusinessGlu Integration

If you are encountering issues with your BusinessGlu integration, the first step we recommend is reconnecting your integration.

Go to your integrations and click on re-connect:

You can enter the same name again (or rename the previous name).

How to Remove Your BusinessGlu Integration from AEvent

If you want to remove your BusinessGlu integration from AEvent, navigate to Integrations, locate your BusinessGlu integration, and click on the trashcan icon:

You will then be prompted to confirm deletion.

(NOTE: Removing this integration will immediately affect its use with any timeline that it is active in.)

If you are experiencing issues with this integration but do not want to REMOVE it, we recommend reconnecting it. This will allow it's configuration to continue as set within your timelines.

Once you confirm removal, the integration within AEvent no longer exists.
