This Tutorial is a continuation from GotoWebinar Security: Always Allow Device

As an additional security and operational step, we recommend setting up a simple email forwarder.

By following the steps below any emails received from Goto's Login System (confirmation code / PW reset emails / etc) are sent directly to aEvent, enabling us to keep everything running smooth for your events.

In this tutorial we will walk step by step thru setting this up using Gmail / G Workplace.

Each email system will have the ability to forward emails, although your setup might differ than this tutorial, the process will be nearly the same.

First, Obtain your Tenant ID. (This identifies our emails to aEvents IA system)

In order to locate your Tenant ID, please open a Timeline in your account and go to Code -> Registration Page -> Form Registration Code (as shown below)

Our Tenant ID for this Tutorial is 12128948. so I need to forward emails to gotowebinar+12128948 AT (You would replace 12128948 with your own Tenant ID.)

Next we need to go into our Gmail account, and setup a forwarding address using this Email.

Turn on automatic forwarding

  1. On your computer, open Gmail using the account associated with your Goto Webinar login.

  2. In the top right, click Settings (Cog Wheel) See all settings. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

  3. In the "Forwarding" section, click Add the forwarding address.

  4. Enter the email address enter the email we created in the previous step (Example: gotowebinar+12128948 AT )

  5. Click Next > Proceed > OK.

  6. A verification message will be sent to us directly. We have an automation setup to complete the verification process. Please wait 5 minutes, then you can refresh this page and you'll be able to confirm the forwarding is operational.

Setup a forwarder for any emails from: [email protected] > our new address.

  1. Go back to the settings page for the Gmail account you want to forward messages from, and refresh your browser.

  2. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

  3. In the "Forwarding" section, From: [email protected], then click Create Filter.

4. Click on Forward it, and select the new forwarder address we have just setup. Then click Create Filter.

This tutorial is complete. Your emails will automatically be sent to our IA system should any issues arise.

TLDR: Forward all email received to your GotoWebinar Login email account from [email protected] -> gotowebinar+TENANTID AT
