Integrating Zapier Webhook into AEvent
Want to use a service that we don't have a direct integration with? Zapier is the answer, here is how to set it up..

Want to send a Zap on registration?  Follow this video:

To integrate Zapier Webhook into AEvent and send a Zap on registration, follow these steps.

  1. Log into your Zapier account and click on “Make a Zap”

  2. Under Choose App & Event, type in Webhook and among the results, click on Webhooks by Zapier.

  3. Under Choose Trigger Event, choose Catch Hook and click Continue.

  4. Copy the Custom Webhook URL and click Continue.

  5. Back in AEvent, go to https://app.aevent.com/#/addIntegration and click "Add Integration"

  6. Click on Webhook and name your integration. Under address, paste in the Custom Webhook URL.

  7. Set Type to Get, Formatting to Standard, and Encryption to Off. Then click Create.

  8. Go into your Timeline Settings and click on the Integration heading.

  9. Click the checkmark by the integration you just created.

  10. Scroll down and to the integration setup.

  11. Set “Send webhook on registration” to Active.

  12. Exit and Save Changes.

  13. Go to the registration page for your scheduled webinar using this timeline. Fill out the registration form and submit.

  14. Back in Zapier, under Customize Request, click “Test & Review”. 

  15. You will see all of the information data that was sent from AEvent to Zapier.

To send a Zap when a registrant is part of a certain audience (attendee, non-attendee, etc) follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Zapier account and click on “Make a Zap”

  2. Under Choose App & Event, type in Webhook and among the results, click on Webhooks by Zapier.

  3. Under Choose Trigger Event, choose Catch Hook and click Continue.

  4. Copy the Custom Webhook URL and click Continue.

  5. Back in AEvent, go to https://app.aevent.com/#/addIntegration and click "Add Integration"

  6. Click on Webhook and name your integration. Under address, paste in the Custom Webhook URL.

  7. Set Type to Get, Formatting to Standard, and Encryption to Off. Then click Create.

  8. Go into your Timeline Settings and click on the Integration heading.

  9. Click the checkmark by the webhook integration you just created.

  10. Scroll down and to the integration setup.

  11. Set “Send webhook on registration” to Inactive.

  12. Exit and Save Changes.

  13. Under Action, for this initial action creation, set the When section to 25 minutes before the webinar, and select who you want to pertain to.

  14. Under What, select the webhook integration.

  15. Click Add Action then Save Changes.

  16. In order to get this initial information into Zapier, you will need to schedule a test webinar using this timeline. Set the time for 30 minutes after the current time.

  17. Go to the registration page for this test webinar using this timeline. Fill out the registration form and submit.

  18. Wait 5 minutes then go back into Zapier. Under Customize Request, click “Test & Review”. 

  19. You will see all of the information data that was sent from AEvent to Zapier.

  20. Click continue and you can continue to set up the Zap for whatever service you are connecting it to.

  21. Back in AEvent, you will now need to set up the actual action.

  22. Under Action, update the When section for whatever time you want to send the message, and select who you want to send it to.

  23. Under What, select the webhook integration then choose an action from the dropdown menu.

  24. Check the box next to “Send per Registrant”.

  25. Click Add Action and Save Changes.
